Remember The Daze DVD Review
On June 3rd "Remember The Daze" was released on dvd. The movie stars Amber Heard, along with Leighton Meester from Gossip Girl, Alexa Vega from Spy Kids, Melonie Diaz from Be Kind Rewind, Lyndsy Fonseca from Desperate
Housewives, Brie Larson from Sleepover and Wesley Jonathan from What I Like About You.
Writer/Director Jess Manafort explores the experiences of many teenagers in a small town on the last day of high school before summer in 1999. The movie doesn't really have one central character, but instead centers around many and
intertwines their stories throughout the film. There are juniors moving up to being seniors contemplating their boyfriends, seniors who just graduated wondering what their next step in life will be, and eight graders
moving up to high school trying to appear older and hookup with guys. Along with that is plenty of beer, hallucinogenic mushrooms and weed, a secret lesbian affair, some sex, and dysfunctional families.
The dvd does contain some special features including a behind the scenes featurette, Spanish subtitles and previews for other movies.
The movie is said to be based on the writer's own experience on the last day of school, but personally I had trouble relating much to the movie. Amber Heard though does a great acting job and looks great throughout the movie. Fans of
hers definitely will want to check this movie out.
